Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the independent provider that operates the results. Irondequoit Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those queries. A message sent to us contains only the details you choose to provide and is used to answer that message.
Routine Technical Data
Like most hosted services, the site receives standard log data such as an IP address, browser category, pages requested, and time of request. We review that information in aggregate for security, maintenance, and audience measurement. Basic analytics or advertising measurement may use cookies or comparable technology.
How Technical Data Is Used
It supports site operation, error repair, traffic measurement, and content improvement. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
Links to Other Websites
We link out to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their privacy policies, not ours, govern what you submit there. That is especially true of the sponsored search results, which a third-party company provides.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers process technical logs on our behalf. Analytics or advertising partners can receive the automatic information described above. We disclose information only when required by valid legal process or otherwise required by law.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Privacy Choices
New York’s Personal Privacy Protection Law, Public Officers Law Article 6-A, provides access and correction rights for personal information held by state agencies. For information controlled by us, ask through the Contact page; we will check the contact mailbox and relevant logs and remove what we can. Records held by New York, Monroe County, or Irondequoit offices remain with their custodian, so requests about those records must go to that office.
Policy Revisions
We will post revisions here. Continued use after a revision takes effect means you agree to the updated policy.
